A prestigious development of luxury houses by Avicam Homes based centrally on the Crown Estate within easy travelling distance of London and the Surrey suburbs. Sheppard Piling won the project to install 67 piles to create a contiguous retaining wall.
Piling requirements
The project reported unstable ground conditions where we proposed to install piles using a Continuous Flight Auger piling system. The piles were installed using a purpose-built CFA/Rotary piling rig weighing approximately 15 tones that has the capability of working within 500mm of a boundary wall. The proposed excavation was 4.9m with pile diameters of 450mm.
